Frequently Asked Questions

FAQs: Coaching

I’m not sure I have the time for coaching. How much of a commitment is it?

Coaching is designed to fit into your lifestyle. Sessions are typically once a week or bi-weekly, and you’ll work on small, manageable action steps between sessions. The goal is to help you make lasting changes without overwhelming your schedule. Many clients find that the time invested in coaching leads to more time, energy, and clarity in their daily life.

How do I know if life coaching is right for me?

Life coaching is ideal for people who are ready to take action and create lasting change in their lives. If you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure about how to achieve your personal or professional goals, coaching can help you gain clarity, build confidence, and develop a plan for success. If you're looking for personalized support, motivation, and accountability, coaching could be a great fit.

What results can I expect from life coaching?

Results vary depending on your goals, but most clients experience increased clarity, motivation, and confidence. Many see improvements in areas like time management, health, relationships, career progression, and personal well-being. Life coaching helps you overcome limiting beliefs, build empowering habits, and take concrete steps toward your desired outcomes.

What’s the difference between life coaching and self-help books or online courses?

Life coaching offers personalized, one-on-one support tailored to your specific situation. While self-help books and online courses can provide helpful information, they don’t offer the level of accountability, feedback, or individualized guidance that coaching does. With coaching, you have someone who is fully invested in your success and can help you navigate challenges in real-time.

What is the difference between coaching and therapy?

Life coaching and therapy both support personal growth, but they differ in their approach and focus. Life coaching is future-oriented, helping clients identify goals, overcome obstacles, and create actionable plans for reaching their next level in life, particularly in areas like health, wealth, and relationships. Coaches focus on strengths, motivation, and personal empowerment.

Therapy, on the other hand, often deals with past issues and mental health concerns, such as trauma, depression, anxiety, or emotional difficulties. Therapists work with clients to address unresolved issues and provide support for emotional healing, often using diagnostic tools and therapeutic techniques.

While both can be deeply transformative, life coaching is more focused on personal development and goal achievement, while therapy focuses on emotional and psychological healing.

How can life coaching help me if I’m already seeing a therapist?

Great question! I’ve worked with many clients that also have a therapist. I’ve worked with many therapists, too!

Life coaching can complement therapy by focusing on your personal goals and future aspirations. While therapy often works through past trauma and emotional healing, life coaching helps you create actionable steps toward your goals, develop new habits, and achieve the next level of growth. Many clients find that coaching and therapy together provide a holistic approach to well-being.

FAQs: Breathwork

What is breathwork?

Breathwork is a practice that uses conscious breathing techniques to improve physical, mental, and emotional well-being. It helps reduce stress, promote relaxation, increase energy, and enhance emotional balance. Breathwork can also support better sleep, reduce anxiety, and foster mindfulness, making it a powerful tool for personal growth and healing.

What type of breathwork do you practice?

Pranayama, one of the eight limbs of yoga, is a concentration practice focused on the breath. The Three-Part Breath, or Dirgha pranayama, is a simple and powerful practice that disrupts the fight-or-flight response and shift to the relaxation response.
